Nothing is impossible as long as you believe

A summary of "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne We all want to be successful in our lives. Whether you are a man or a women, married or unmarried, employed or unemployed we all have the same dream that is success. Success cannot be defined. It’s a personal fact based on individual perspectives. Therefore it changes from one to another. For someone owning just an ordinary car can be a success but for another it is not enough. He needs to own a BMW or Mercedes to call himself as successful. Many try to be successful in their whole life. But only a few accomplish their goals. The rest that fails often blames karma, bad luck, the government, the society or at some point on anything they can point their fingers to. In the end they believe that they cannot succeed in their lives and accept the defeat. These people may be at the brim of their success but because of their negative thoughts they may always remain defeated. People have no idea that they themselves are the reaso

Sounds of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel Saturday, October 26, 2013 9:26 AM "Sounds of Silence", a song by the famous American folk rock duet Simon and Garfunkel is one of the most significant songs that I've ever come across in my life. Some sources say it's a song inspired by one of the most heart breaking events that has taken place in the history of America, The assassination of President John F Kennedy. Some sources say it's an anti-war song which discuss about the cold war taken place between America and Russia during that period. Some sources say it's a song that shows how the man kind is deceived by capitalism. But the significance of this song is, it has the ability to justify all these arguments brought up by these different sources because it tries to give out a universal massage to the world, to the man kind saying "look people wake up from your sleep, the way you are heading is wrong! You are blinded by many misconceptions, pleas

Who Ever Loved, That Loved Not at First Sight? By Christopher Marlowe Saturday, October 5, 2013 12:51 PM "It lies not in our power to love or hate, For will in us is overruled by fate, When two are stripped, long ere the course begin, We wish that one should love, the other win; And one especially do we affect Of two gold ingots, like in each respect: The reason no man knows, let it suffice, What we behold is censured by our eyes. Where both deliberate. The love is slight: Whoever loved, that loved no at first sight?" Christopher Marlowe was an English dramatist, poet and translator in the Elizabethan era.  In his poem "whoever loved, that loved not at first sight?" Marlowe tries to approach to the more spiritual aspect of love. As he says in the poem, love is not based on a decision that a certain individual takes.  It's not up to the will of that individual. It's something decided by his or her destiny. It's been chos

The Mockery of War...

Last Night I had the Strangest Dream by Simon and Garfunkel Monday, September 30, 2013 6:31 PM Simon and Garfunkel are an American rock duo that came to the music industry in 1950's. In their song "Last Night I had the Strangest Dream" they try to talk about the unwanted nature of war to the world.  And also they try to prove this paradoxical statement that “the man doesn't like the war but, the man doesn't want to stop it". War is something created by the man. It is not something generated by nature. So, it is not something that happened suddenly.  Some decisions taken by some people because of various ideologies or causes have led to wars. But even though a single person or a group of people took a decision that we must start a war against something, it just can’t become a reality. Those decisions should be approved by the majority of people and they must support it directly or indirectly.                                           And th

After Blenheim by Robert Southey Wednesday, September 25, 2013  9:34 PM Robert Southey is an English romantic poet and his poem "After Blenheim" is an anti-war poem written by him to point out the meaningless of the war and the tragedy that it leads to the whole mankind. In his poem “After Blenheim" he tries to express some controversial ideas regarding the war. The main aspect of the poem is about the nationalistic feeling towards the war by people and the real massacre that has happened by the war to the mankind. Actually he tries to build up a connection between these two ideas by indirectly saying that people are not noticing this real massacre because they have mystified their minds with these nationalistic ideologies. In other words he is saying that people are willingly neglecting to see this massacre because of the patriotic feelings towards    their country. This sorrowful situation further justifies the statement "we only see what we want to see
